B. dribble for 30 seconds
C. 24 forward lunges

Gradually build up to 4 sets.

============2. Prevention Byte - Shin Pads... ========

Why is it that some soccer players wear shin pads that
only cover one third or less of their shins?...

It is absolutely vital that shin pads run the length of
the shin.They should start just below the bump at
the knee and run down to the ankle.

============3. Nutrition Byte - Protein or Carbs ========

Protein or Carbs
from Youth Soccer Nutrition(c)

Are you a protein or carbohydrate person? how
do you feel after having a big pasta meal or steak?

This is just one way to figure out if a high protein or
high carbohydrate "diet' works for you. Maybe you
are a mix of both...

Your ancestry may have a lot to do with the type of
foods you consume for health, body composition and
athletic performance. This is known as "metabolic typing"

In todays world we got lost in canned goods, processed
food and nutrient deficient alternatives.

Be aware of the food you are putting in your mouth and the
reaction you have after eating. One of the things that sets
Youth Soccer Nutrition(c) apart is information given to
discover if you are a protein, carb or combo eater.
Until then keep on eating...

========== 4. Early Specialization...==========

Early Specialization = Burnout...

Have you ever noticed a young rising soccer star at
the ages of 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 fizzle or burn out
at the of 14 or 15?

Have you ever heard of the "late bloomer"?

In todays' society so many parents and coaches want
their child to become the next Zinedine Zidane or Rhonaldhinio. They want to live their lives through
their child or children that they enroll them into
soccer only training programs year round...
